HOLLY & TYLEIGH'S ULTIMATE MOVING CHECKLIST

6–8 Weeks Out: Let’s Get Started!
- Declutter like a boss: donate, sell, or toss anything you haven’t touched in a year.
- Make a “moving folder” for important docs (because life is chaotic enough).
- Start researching movers or truck rentals. We recommend getting a few quotes.
- Start slowly using up frozen or perishable foods

4–6 Weeks Out: Packing Party Begins
- Grab boxes, tape, markers, and bubble wrap. Packing supplies are your BFFs!
- Begin packing the things you don’t use every day (holiday décor, off-season clothes).
- Make a list of utilities to transfer or cancel (electricity, gas, water, internet).
- Tell schools or daycares you’re moving (if applicable).

2 Weeks - 1 Week Out: Details, Details, Details
- Change your address with USPS, banks, subscriptions, and important contacts.
- Label every box by room and content — trust us, you’ll thank yourself later.
- Pack fragile items with love (bubble wrap is cheaper than broken memories).
- Prepare an “essentials box” for your first days: snacks, chargers, toiletries, PJs… basically your survival kit.

Moving Day: Showtime!

- Make sure utilities are ready to go at your new home.
- Do a final walkthrough of the old place! Don’t forget closets, cabinets, and the garage.
- Keep your essentials and important documents on you (not in the moving truck).
- Check items off your inventory list as movers load them.
- Take a quick photo of your new home before unpacking. Future you will appreciate it.

After the Move: You Did It!
- Unpack essentials first (bedroom, kitchen, bathroom).
- Make sure utilities and internet are fully working.
- Update your driver’s license and car registration, if needed.
- Meet your neighbors!
- Treat yourself! Moving is hard work, and you deserve it!
